Product Details

These pretty sea glass pendants from the 'Smokey Waters' collection each feature a smooth and rounded pebble of ocean-tumbled sea glass, suspended through a delicate sterling silver chain loop bail and paired with an 18" belcher chain necklace.

Each piece of sea glass has been carefully drilled and has a short length of silver chain threaded through the hole, which is in turn securely attached to a round sterling silver ring which forms the pendant bail.

This ring has been permanently soldered closed for strength and durability and therefore this section will not detach from the glass, however the necklace chain itself can be removed if desired.

They are each hung from an 18"/45cm sterling silver belcher chain which fastens with a classic bolt clasp.

The sea glass pebbles are a really lovely range of grey shades and they each have a smooth and rounded pebble shape and a very tactile, lightly frosted surface.

These necklaces are sold individually - please see the list below for the dimensions of the glass used in each one, and select your preferred choice from the menu.

• A: Deep Smokey Lilac Grey, 17mm long, 13mm wide and 11mm thick.

• B: Medium Smokey Grey, 19mm long, 14mm wide and 9mm thick.

• C: Light Smokey Grey, 20mm long, 13mm wide and 9mm thick.

• D: Deep Smokey Lilac Grey, 19mm long, 12mm wide, 10mm thick.

• E: Light Silver Grey, 18mm long, 13mm wide, 9mm thick.

• F: Cool Silvery Grey, 18mm long, 13mm wide, 9mm thick.

A contemporary and modern necklace with a distinct 'boho' vibe that is easy to wear and perfect for combining with others of different lengths to achieve a 'layering' look. They would also make a perfect gift for an beach or ocean lover!

I usually have different lengths and style of necklace chain available; please message before purchasing if you would prefer something different and I can let you know what I have in stock.

ABOUT THE SEA GLASS

Sea glass is broadly defined as glass which has been discarded into the oceans or on beaches, thereafter spending many decades being gently tumbled by the waves. This gives it the characteristic smooth edges and beautiful frosted appearance which defines it.

Every piece of sea glass I use is authentic, genuine sea glass – the majority of the material in this collection has been found by fellow beachcombers on the coasts of West Scotland where pieces in this particular shade are more abundant and of a more rounded size and shape than the pieces I find locally on my own beach. It is said that grey sea glass may originate from traditional sources such as glassware and bottles, but also from old TV screens and tinted automobile windows!

As the glass I use is genuine, ocean tumbled sea glass, it does contain the very tiny indentions and 'C' marks on the surface which were created as it spent decades in the water - these are the characteristic signs of its authenticity. These marks are not usually obvious to the naked eye but may be visible in the close-up photographs.

Each item of sea glass jewellery I make will by its very nature be unique and 'one of a kind' - the pictures you see here in each listing will be of the exact item that will be received and I always try to give as accurate a description as possible. Please feel free to message me if there is anything else you would like to know about sea glass or any item in this collection!

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Each necklace will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied hessian or cotton fabric bag, and sent in a mailing box/mailing bag or padded envelope as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.

Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee specific delivery times of orders once posted but an estimate will be provided on checkout. This is a guide only.

GIFT WRAP & MESSAGING

Every item of Willow & Twigg jewellery is presented beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and ready for giving as a gift. However, if you would like to upgrade the standard packaging to a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box, then I also offer a gift-wrapping upgrade via the optional check-box. Some larger or higher value items will include this option as standard and in such cases it won't be shown as an option in the listing.

If your purchase is a gift and you wish to include a short handwritten message on a tag then I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge, regardless of packaging choice. Please enter any required text in the optional box to the left of the images.

In addition, if you wish the item to be sent direct to the recipient, then please make sure the mailing address is correct during the checkout process.
