Perfect for wearing on their own or for stacking, these beautiful hammered wave bangles are a contemporary version of a classic jewellery style.
Sold individually, each one is handmade to order from recycled sterling silver, and is gently hammered for a subtle texture that beautifully catches the light. Available in four sizes and two thicknesses (1.5mm and a chunkier 2mm) they are a beautiful and more unusual addition to any bangle collection!
Each bangle is individually handmade to order, so please allow a lead time of up to three days (plus delivery) - this may need to be increased during busier times of the year (such as Christmas). Please be reassured you will be contacted directly if there is likely to be any extension to this for any reason.
Prices will vary according to size needed and thickness of metal chosen. This particular design of bangle is also available in tarnish-resistant brass.
The comfort and fit of a closed round bangle like these is very much dependant on the size of the fist, rather than the wrist, and even a few millimetres in diameter can mean the difference between a bangle fitting the wearer perfectly and them not being able to put it on at all.
To help achieve the most comfortable fit there are four sizes available, with the approximate measurements as follows:
Extra Small (XS) - Inner Diameter 55mm / Inner Circumference 17cm
Small (S) - Inner Diameter 60mm / Inner Circumference 19cm
Medium (M) - Inner Diameter 65mm / Inner Circumference 20cm
Large (L) - Inner Diameter 70mm / Inner Circumference 21cm
The inner circumference is the total inside measurement of the bangle, as a circle, all the way around. The inner diameter is the distance directly across from one side to the other.
To determine the size needed using the inner diameter, simply make the hand into a fist and measure the distance between the centerpoints of the two outermost knuckles. This is the minimum diameter that will be needed for the bangle. If you already have a bangle that you know fits well, you can also measure the inner diameter of this to find out the measurement required.
Alternatively, to determine the correct size using the inner circumference, you can use a tape measure (or thin strip of paper). Point the fingers together and tuck the thumb across towards the little finger. Measure around the widest part of the hand.
The last photo in the carousel illustrates how to measure the hand. If your measurements come up between sizes, I would recommend going for the larger one to be sure the bangle can be put on.
