Product Details

Sold individually, these lovely cuff bangles are made from strips of solid brass which has been patterned with an embossed scroll design and given a darkening patina to bring out the details before being polished to a beautifully soft, matte finish.

The brass itself is a gorgeous warm gold colour, and the darkening patina used to give an antique-style look creates a variety of deeper colours in the pattern, usually a coppery bronze shade.

Please be aware that both the patina colours and the matte finish may change slightly over time as the bangle is worn and exposed to the oxidising effects of the air.

Each bangle is oval in shape, and measures 15cm/150mm long and 6mm wide, with an opening of approximately one inch. The internal diameter is just under 6cm/60mm.

The bangles are all made to the same design and the same size, but there should be enough flexibility in the metal to allow for an initial re-sizing if required in order to obtain a perfect fit; for reference, my own wrist, as shown in the photos, is exactly 15cm or 6 inches. If your wrist is any smaller than this, then it may be difficult to get a secure fit whilst still being able to take the bangle on and off easily.

Please see the last image in the gallery for a visual guide to putting on/taking off an open cuff bangle in this style!

Cuff bangles should always be put on and removed by sliding the opening sideways onto the wrist.

If any re-sizing is required to get a closer or looser fit, then this should be done by very gently using two hands to squeeze the ends together or draw them apart, taking care to do so as evenly as possible on both ends at the same time to retain the overall shape.

Please be aware that once sized correctly, cuff bangles should be taken on and off only as described above, as any repeated bending or flexing of the metal will eventually cause it to harden and/or crack - much like a paperclip does when it is overworked!

If you have any questions about the sizing or wearing of these bangles, please just get in touch!

PACKAGING & SHIPPING

Your bangle will be carefully gift wrapped and presented in a ribbon-tied hessian or cotton fabric bag, and sent in a mailing box/mailing bag or padded envelope as appropriate.

Shipping within the UK is already included via Royal Mail's ‘Tracked 24’ service (delivery estimate within 2-3 working days), with an optional upgrade to an express 'Special Delivery' service available at checkout for an additional charge (delivery estimate 1-2 working days).

I always aim to despatch all orders on the same or next working day that they are received, so any upgrade in postage chosen by a customer will be for the purposes of achieving higher priority within the Royal Mail system itself, rather than a faster processing time from me as a seller.

Please be aware that I am unable to guarantee specific delivery times of orders once posted but an estimate will be provided on checkout. This is a guide only.

GIFT WRAP & MESSAGING

Every item of Willow & Twigg jewellery is presented beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and ready for giving as a gift. However, if you would like to upgrade the standard packaging to a ribbon-tied cardboard gift box, then I also offer a gift-wrapping upgrade via the optional check-box. Some larger or higher value items will include this option as standard and in such cases it won't be shown as an option in the listing.

If your purchase is a gift and you wish to include a short handwritten message on a tag then I am more than happy to provide this service free of charge, regardless of packaging choice. Please enter any required text in the optional box to the left of the images.

In addition, if you wish the item to be sent direct to the recipient, then please make sure the mailing address is correct during the checkout process.
